Atlanta Attractions:  Yellow River Game Ranch
This is out past Stone Mountain.  It's where they have the southern version of Puxatawney Phil for Groundhog Day, General Lee. It's quite rustic. See a large herd of buffalo or you can feed the animals at the petting zoo. If your kids like animals, this is a good alternative to the zoo.
